#34. Weekly AI For Newsroom Roundup. Should we stop developing AI for now?

Hello, this is Sergei.

Today I want to make an announcement about two new features that I'm going to release next week:

• MCP server. Just connect AI For Newsroom to the AI tools using our MCP and get instant access to our database of everything related to AI in newsroom and journalism we have. Will ship it in a day or two.

• I've updated chat on the home page and now it does what I think can be one of the ways to use AI for customization. Actually this is pretty much the same that MCP is, but without the need to connect something to something. Just ask and see completely new main page of the website, compiled according to user's request. Will ship it later next week.

And also I was thinking about AI in general. And if I were in charge, I would stop developing AI at the current stage for, like, 10–15 years. Because it is already absolutely genius in helping humans achieve breakthroughs in product development, science, medicine, education, etc. And I doubt that we need even better AI. At least for now. I'm sure it will create way more problems than it can solve (yeah, I read that book!).
