Hello, this is Sergei.
This week I was reading a very interesting study on AI adoption among UK journalists and their newsrooms — and one thought wouldn’t leave me. The survey behind this research was conducted in autumn 2024. In normal industry cycles, a year-old report is fine. But in the AI era? Twelve months feel like a lifetime. Too many things have shifted: new tools, new workflows, models getting noticeably smarter.
So the question is: how relevant is this report to November 2025? Is it still a useful benchmark — or already more of a sharp snapshot of how things looked then?
It feels like we’re still underestimating the speed at which the industry is reshaping itself. This month I revisited several projects we built with newsrooms in Poland, Georgia, and the Baltics during last year’s workshops and mentorship programs. And honestly, they already look some kind old-school. The ideas are still solid, but the tools and approaches need a serious update.

And a quick update on AI in Newsroom.
I’ve refreshed our RSS section — now every category has its own feed: AI-related industry news, resources, policies, and AI implementations. If you don’t want to juggle multiple links, there’s also an All-in-one feed. Just drop it into your favorite RSS reader.
If you prefer a more direct setup, feel free to reach out by email or LinkedIn. I can share API endpoints so you can pull AI for Newsroom content straight into your app, CMS, or whatever you use.
